Over the course of making this web site I have been approached by many people asking if I can help with their queries.  Sometimes I am unable to find anything and sometimes I am unable to devote the time that these queries would require.  So here are some of those queries I am as yet unable to help with.
If you can help then please reply.

Weeting History   I am involved in a local history project in Weeting.  I wonder if you have any old pictures of Weeting or any information, that may be of use to the project, or the Weeting history group Weeting History

Ministry of Labour camp at Brandon in 1939   I run a Training Ship site and I am looking for information about a group of lads from the reformatory training ship TS Cornwall who were evacuated to a Ministry of Labour camp at Brandon in 1939 at the start of the war.  They were being looked after by the Home Office as the ship at this time was un-approved.  Discipline broke down after they left the ship in Purfleet and moved to Brandon.
If anyone has any information about the Ministry of Labour camp, or the Cornwall lads, we would be very grateful.

Pte Percy Bradbury
My great uncle, 5833402 Pte Percy Bradbury, was in the 5th Suffolks and was captured at Singapore. He died, aged 26yrs, on 21 July 1943 from dysentery and is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Plot 1, Row P, Collective Grave 54-58.
I have been trying to find someone, anyone, who has any information on Percy and his time in the 5th Bn but I haven't been successful.

Heath House, Brandon   I am writing a book and trying to research Heath House, which used to be by the library.   I am looking for any information you might be able to tell me,  I know it was built in 1908, and when I lived in Brandon it was derelict which was in 1976.  I can't even find out who the family was that built and lived in it!  Any help at all would be appreciated. Mr Lawrence 'George' Yates   My great-grandfather, Mr Lawrence George Yates was a section leader of the Brandon Home Guard. He was a regular soldier in the Boer and First World Wars (Sgt Major in Coldstream Guards), and was a route-liner at Queen Victoria's funeral. He then worked in Thetford and Brandon post offices and later became manager of the Avenue Cinema, Brandon. Lived at 172 London Road, Brandon, and was member of St Peter's Church choir.  I wonder if you have any info about him? Andrew White
